ದಿನಾಂಕ 23.08.2010ರಂದು ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ಣ 2 ಘಂಟೆಗೆ ಗುಳೇದಗುಡ್ಡ ಪುರಸಭೆಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ/ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯನ್ನು ಪುರಸಭೆಯ ಸಭಾಭವನದಲ್ಲಿ ತಹಶೀಲ್ದಾರ ಬದಾಮಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಚುನಾವಣಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಇವರು ಜರುಗಿಸಿದರು. ಪುರಸಭೆ ಚುನಾಯಿತ ಸದಸ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಪುರಸಭೆ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಲಲಿತಾ ಎಲ್.ಗಾಜಿ (ಧನ್ನೂರ) ಇವರು ಹಾಗೂ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಶ್ರೀ ಮುರಿಗೆಪ್ಪ ಎಸ್.ರಾಜನಾಳ ಇವರು ಅವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ಚುನಾವಣಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಘೋಷಿಸಿದರು.

ಜನನ ಮರಣ ನೊಂದಣಿಯು ಗಣಕೀಕ್ರತವಾಗಿದೆ. ಈಗಾಗಲೇ 10 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳು (1997-01-01 ರಿಂದ 2006-12-31) ರವರೆಗೆ ಗಣಕೀಕ್ರತವಾಗಿವೆ. ಇನ್ನೂ ಮುಂದೆ ಜನನ ಮರಣಗಳ ಉತಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಗಣಕೀಕ್ರತವಾಗಿ ವಿತರಿಸಲಾಗುವದು. ಸದರ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ನಗರದ ವೆಬ್ ಸೈಟ www.guledaguddatown.gov.in ನಲ್ಲಿ ನೋಡಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ.
Birth and Death application is made online from 19-07-2008, the citizens can view the Birth and Death records presently for 10 years ie from 1997-01-01 to 2006-12-31, by clicking on the Birth and Death menu in www.guledaguddatown.gov.in , entry of remaining records is going on.
Guledagudda town is one of 74 Karnataka cities deploying in 2007 – 2008, Municipal eGovernance modules of Property Tax, Financial Accounting GIS Mapping, Public Grievance & Redressal, Birth & Death Certification, and Ward Works. Karnataka Municipal Reforms Project(KMRP) is a partnership between the eGovernments Foundation & Survey of India. These computer based systems coupled with Govt. process re-engineering and GIS digital mapping will provide transparency and accountability and smoother delivery of services to citizens.
Town Municipal Council:
The Town Municipal Council Guledagudda is one of the oldest Urban Local Body formed in Bagalkot District. It was constituted in the Year 1888, celebrated its centenary in 1993.

ಶತಮಾನಗಳ ಪೂರ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಗುಳೇದಗುಡ್ಡ
ಕೆಲವು ಶತಮಾನಗಳ ಪೂರ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಗುಡ್ಡದ ಮೇಲೆ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡ ಈ ಗೂಳಿಗುಡ್ಡವು ಗುಡ್ಡದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬಂದು ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಗೊಂಡು ಗುಳೇದಗುಡ್ಡವಾಯಿತು. ಗುಡ್ಡದ ಮೇಲೆ ಊರು ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಾಗ ಕೋಟಿಕಲ್ ಮಠದ ಗೂಳಿಯೊಂದು ಈ ಗುಡ್ಡದಲ್ಲಿ ತಿರುಗಾಡುತ್ತಿತ್ತೆಂದೂ ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಈ ಊರಿಗೆ ಗೂಳಿಗುಡ್ಡವೆಂಬ ಹೆಸರು ಬಂದಿತೆಂಬ ಪ್ರತೀತಿ ಇದೆ. ಕ್ರಿ.ಶ 1705ರಲ್ಲಿ ಗುಡ್ಡದ ಮೇಲಿನ ಈ ಗೂಳಿಗುಡ್ಡವು ಗುಡ್ಡದ ಮೇಲಿನಿಂದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬಂದು ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಗೊಂಡಿತು. ಈಗ ಊರಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆರೆ ಇದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ಒಂದು ಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಕೆರೆ ಒಡೆದು ನೀರೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಬಸಿದು ಹೋದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಗುಳೇ ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡು ಕೆಳಗೆ ಸ್ಥಳಾಂತರಗೊಂಡರು. ಆಗ ಈ ಊರಿಗೆ ಗುಳೇದಗುಡ್ಡವೆಂಬ ಹೆಸರು ರೂಢಿಯಾಯಿತು. ಗುಳೇದಗುಡ್ಡವು ಶತಮಾನದ ಪೂರ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧವಾದುದು. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಮಿಶನರಿ “ಕೀಸಾಹೆಬ” ಎಂಬುವರು 1854ರಷ್ಟು ಹಿಂದೆಯೂ ಹೆಣ್ಣುಮಕ್ಕಳ ಶಾಲೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದರು. ಮುಂಬಯಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇದು ಪ್ರಥಮವೆಂಬ ದಾಖಲೆ ಇದೆ, ಕ್ರಿ.ಶ 1881 ರಲ್ಲೆ ಈ ಊರಿನ ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆ 10649. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಜರ್ಮನ್ ಮಿಶನರಿಗಳಿದ್ದವು. ಆಗ ಇಲ್ಲಿ 500 ಮಗ್ಗಗಳಿದ್ದವು. ಇಂಥ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಪರಂಪರೆ ಪಡೆದ ಗುಳೇದಗುಡ್ಡವು ಕಾಲಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಹಲವಾರು ದಾಳಿಗಳಿಗೆ ತುತ್ತಾದರೂ ಪುನಃ ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಲೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಕ್ರಿ.ಶ 1888 ರಿಂದ ಪುರಸಭೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಪ್ರಗತಿ ಪಥದತ್ತ ಸಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವದು ಗಮನಾರ್ಹ.
